About the Role

As a Neighbourhood Team Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood services across Reside, ensuring excellent customer experience, strong performance, and continuous improvement. Promote resident engagement, ensure compliance with legislation and policies, and uphold health and safety standards.

About You

You will have experience leading tenancy or housing management services in a dynamic environment, with strong knowledge of housing, estate management, and health & safety. You’re skilled in managing high-performing teams, driving service improvements, and using data to inform decisions. You’re confident with IT systems, policy development, and ensuring compliance with legislation. A UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. Desirable: Knowledge of housing regulation, project management experience, and CIH membership.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant neighbourhood and tenancy management services across all tenures within the Reside portfolio. The role ensures a strong focus on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and alignment with Reside’s values and strategic objectives. It involves operational leadership, service development, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners to deliver excellent housing services and create thriving communities.

Key Accountable Areas

Service Delivery

  • Lead the delivery of efficient, high-quality neighbourhood and tenancy services across all tenures
  • Support allocations, lettings, and tenancy fraud prevention, ensuring smooth onboarding of new tenants
  • Promote a customer-first culture focused on satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Drive resident engagement and ensure services align with legislation, policy, and best practice
  • Oversee case management, system updates, and stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute to policy development and ensure consistent application across the service

Leadership & Management

  • Manage and support staff, including remote teams, through regular 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Foster a culture of development, accountability, and high standards
  • Set and monitor team objectives aligned with corporate goals
  • Provide operational cover when needed, including out-of-hours support
  • Ensure staff wellbeing and safety, including lone working protocols

Financial Control

  • Plan and monitor budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and value for money
  • Collaborate with finance teams on forecasting and reporting
  • Identify and escalate cost pressures and provide regular budget updates to senior management

Other Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and Reside policies
  • Be flexible to work evenings and weekends when required
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to the role
