Resident Voice Coordinator

About the Role

We fundamentally believe that residents are experts in where they live.

Resident Voice exists to help residents influence the services we deliver, putting them at the very heart of our decision-making.

As Resident Voice Coordinator, you’ll help us turn Reside’s Resident Influence Strategy into practical action.

You’ll coordinate resident voice activity, support involved residents, and organise meetings and events. You’ll maintain records and action trackers, and help make sure resident feedback leads to learning, accountability and service improvement.

It’s a varied role in a growing team, and it’s ideal for someone who is people first, organised, curious, and committed to bringing residents into the room.

You’ll be a trusted point of contact for residents, helping them take part in meaningful opportunities to influence decisions, scrutinise services and shape the way Reside works.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across Reside, championing the value of what we hear from the people who live in our homes, and helping residents see how we’re different because they got involved.

About You

You’ll be someone who listens carefully, builds positive relationships and treats people with empathy and respect.

You’ll be comfortable working with residents, colleagues and partners, including people who may be experiencing difficult circumstances.

You’ll instinctively understand why resident feedback and lived experience are essential to improving services.

You’ll also be highly organised, dependable and confident coordinating projects, meetings, events or programmes. You’ll have strong administration, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.

Experience in housing, resident involvement, community engagement or the voluntary and community sector would be helpful, but your attitude, organisation, communication skills and commitment to inclusion are the most important qualities we’re after.

Job Purpose

To support the Resident Voice Manager to deliver Reside’s Resident Influence Strategy by coordinating resident voice activity, supporting involved residents and helping to embed resident influence across the organisation.

The role will involve coordinating Resident Influence Strategy projects, maintaining project plans, schedules and action trackers, organising meetings and resident activities, preparing agendas and minutes, managing a shared mailbox, administering small grant programmes and ensuring resident participation records are accurate and up to date.

You’ll help recruit, induct and support residents, volunteers and participants, coordinate resident training and development, and ensure residents receive feedback on outcomes. You’ll also support the use of resident feedback, complaints learning, satisfaction information and involvement outcomes to identify themes and opportunities for service improvement.

You’ll work in partnership with other Reside teams to support a resident-focused involvement and engagement service, ensuring residents can actively engage, feel listened to and shape the services Reside delivers as landlord.
